  • 1eggwhite
  • 4tspwater
  • 1tbsppure vanilla extract
  • 1cupwhite sugar
  • 2tspcinnamon
  • ¾tspsalt
  • 1lbpecan halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat an oven to 250 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Beat the egg in a bowl until frothy; whisk the water and vanilla into the egg. Stir the sugar, cinnamon, and salt into the egg mixture.

  3. Add the pecans; stir to coat completely. Spread the pecans onto the prepared baking sheet.

  4. Roast the pecans in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, stirring about every 15 minutes, until the coating forms a glaze.

  5. Allow to cool on the baking sheet at least 10 minutes before serving.
