Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 cup milk (any type of milk can be used)
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the oats, mixed berries, yogurt, milk, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract. Stir well to combine.

  2. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight, allowing the oats to soak and soften.

  3. Before serving, give the bircher a good stir and divide it into serving bowls.

  4. Top with chopped nuts if desired and garnish with fresh mint leaves.

  5. Serve chilled and enjoy!
