How To Make Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells Recipe

Delicious jumbo pasta shells stuffed with a creamy spinach and ricotta mixture.

Cooking: 40 minutes
Total: 60 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 16 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup marinara sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells according to package instructions, until al dente.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine spinach, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper.

  3. Stuff each pasta shell with the spinach and ricotta mixture.

  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.

  5. Arrange stuffed pasta shells in a single layer in the baking dish.

  6. Pour remaining marinara sauce over the top of the pasta shells.

  7. Cover baking dish with foil and bake in preheated oven at 375°F for 30 minutes.

  8. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.

  9. Serve hot and enjoy!
