  • 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and sliced into 1/2 inch thick rounds
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Place the sweet potato rounds in a single layer in a baking dish.

  4. Pour the butter mixture over the sweet potatoes, making sure to coat each slice evenly.

  5. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.

  6. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender and caramelized.

  7. Serve hot as a delicious side dish.
