How To Make Mushroom and Basil Bruschetta

This vegetarian bruschetta recipe is a perfect appetizer or snack, loaded with saucy mushrooms and fresh basil on toasty bread.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 4 slices of crusty bread
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 8 oz cremini mushrooms, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add garlic and cook until fragrant.

  3. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until tender, season with salt and pepper.

  4. Place bread slices on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil.

  5. Spoon mushroom mixture over the bread and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the bread is toasty and the cheese is melted.

  7. Serve hot with fresh basil on top.
