How To Make Mushroom and Gruyere Grilled Sandwich

A hearty sandwich filled with sautéed mushrooms and melted Gruyere cheese, perfect for lunch or dinner.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 8 slices of bread
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 8 oz sliced mushrooms
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 cup of shredded Gruyere cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms and garlic until tender. Season with salt and pepper.

  2. Layer Gruyere cheese on 4 slices of bread, then top with sautéed mushrooms. Cover with the remaining slices of bread.

  3. Heat a pan over medium heat and place sandwiches in the pan. Cook each side for 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.

  4. Serve hot.
