How To Make Cherry Bruschetta

Who says vegetarians don’t get to enjoy savory meals? A taste of these authentic vegetarian recipes will make you change your mind. So, you just might want to go vegetarian after your first bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 French baguette
  • 1 cup fresh cherries, pitted and halved
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick diagonal slices.

  3. Place the bread slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. Toast the bread in the preheated oven for about 5 minutes, or until crispy and golden.

  5. In a bowl, combine the cherry halves, sliced basil, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Toss well to combine.

  6. Once the bruschetta toasts are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool for a minute or two.

  7. Top each toast with a spoonful of the cherry mixture, spreading it out evenly.

  8. Drizzle the balsamic glaze over the cherry bruschetta.

  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
