Serves:
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.
-
Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat and add some oil. Cook the chicken for about 4-5 minutes per side, until browned. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
-
In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
-
Add the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and dried thyme to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
-
Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce and mushrooms over the top.
-
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbly and slightly thickened.
-
Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley.
