How To Make Steak & Blue Cheese En Croûte

Ingredients
- 4 steak fillets
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 tbsp blue cheese
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and season the steak fillets with salt and pepper.

In a hot pan, sear the steaks for 1-2 minutes on each side, then set aside to cool.

Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a floured surface and cut into squares large enough to encase each steak.

Place a tablespoon of blue cheese in the center of each pastry square, then top with a steak fillet.

Fold the pastry over the steak, sealing the edges with beaten egg.

Place the wrapped steaks on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, brush with olive oil, and make a few small slits on top.

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the steak is cooked to your liking.
