  • 2 lbs spare ribs
  • 2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)


  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, and minced garlic.

  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the spare ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.

  5. Add the spare ribs to the skillet and sear them on each side until browned, about 4-5 minutes per side.

  6. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the spare ribs are cooked through and tender.

  7. Remove from the oven and let the spare ribs rest for a few minutes before serving.

  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and serve hot.
