How To Make Fish and Corn Chowder Recipe

A hearty and flavorful chowder made with fresh fish and sweet corn.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of fresh fish, diced (such as cod or tilapia)
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 cups of fresh or frozen corn kernels
  • 3 cups of chicken or seafood broth
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp of flour
  • 2 tbsp of butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium heat.

  2. Add onion and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.

  3. Add the diced fish, corn kernels, flour and cook for 2-3 minutes until fish is lightly browned.

  4. Add the broth and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.

  5. Add heavy cream, salt and pepper, and continue to simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes until the chowder has thickened.

  6. Serve hot with your choice of crusty bread or crackers.
