Spicy Cajun Prawn Recipe

How To Make Spicy Cajun Prawn

  • 500g prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun spice mix
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • Lemon wedges, for serving


  1. In a bowl, combine the Cajun spice mix, paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  2. Add the prawns to the bowl and toss to coat evenly.

  3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the prawns and cook for 3-4 minutes, until opaque and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

  5. Return the prawns to the skillet and toss with the garlic butter. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley.

  6. Serve hot with lemon wedges.
