How To Make Mussels in Beer Broth Recipe

A flavorful and hearty dish, cooked in beer broth with steamed mussels, perfect for seafood lovers.

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. fresh mussels, cleaned and debearded
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 bottle of beer (12 oz.)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp. fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp. fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, melt butter over medium-high heat. Add in garlic and onions, sauté until onions are translucent.

  2. Pour in the beer and chicken broth, bring to a boil.

  3. Add in the fresh thyme and mussels. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes or until the mussels have opened.

  4. Remove from heat. Discard any unopened mussels.

  5. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and season with salt and pepper.

  6. Serve immediately with bread or fries.
