How To Make Copycat Buca di Beppo Mozzarella Caprese

A light and simple Italian dish that served slices of mozzarella cheese, fresh slices of tomato with basil leaves before drizzled with olive oil.

  • 5 oz mozzarella cheese (sliced)
  • 2 tomatoes (cut into wedges)
  • 1 red bell pepper (sliced, roasted )
  • 1 yellow bell pepper (sliced, roasted )
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 tbsp basil (chopped)
  • 10 basil leaves
  • 1 tsp garlic (chopped)
  • salt
  • ground pepper
  1. Lay the sliced mozzarella down the center of a platter.
  2. Place the tomato wedges on one side of the platter and alternating red and yellow roasted pepper slices on the other side.
  3. Mix together olive oil, garlic and oregano in a small bowl and drizzle over the entire platter.

  4. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Garnish with chopped basil and fresh basil leaves.

Ingredients
