This simple Italian salad combines refreshing ingredients to make a wonderfully light appetizer.

How To Make Caprese Salad

  • 3 large tomatoes (sliced)
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella medallions
  • 1 bunch basil leaves
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper (to taste)
  1. Arrange mozzarella and tomato slices on a platter.  Overlap them slightly. Tuck basil leaves between the tomatoes and the cheese.  Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
