This quick and easy simple Caprese salad recipe has fresh basil, juicy tomatoes, and delicate mozzarella cheese.

  • 6 tomatoes, large, sliced
  • 16 oz fresh mozzarella medallions
  • 1 bunch basil leaves
  • ½ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and ground black pepper, to taste


  1. Arrange mozzarella and tomato slices on a platter.  Overlap them slightly. Tuck basil leaves between the tomatoes and the cheese. 
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Serve and enjoy!
