How To Make Caprese Pasta Salad Recipe

A refreshing twist on the classic Caprese salad, this pasta version is perfect for a light lunch or dinner.

  • 12 oz pasta
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, diced
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions, then drain and rinse with cold water.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine cooked pasta, cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and chopped basil.

  3. In a separate small mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil and balsamic vinegar to make the dressing.

  4. Pour dressing over the pasta mixture and toss until well coated.

  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  6. Serve chilled.
