Serves:

Ingredients

  • 500g beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 4 cups mixed greens
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, peeled and julienned
  • 1 cucumber, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
  • dressing:
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 red chili, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, cornstarch, and sesame oil. Add beef and toss to coat.

  2. Heat oil in a pan over high heat. Add beef and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned and cooked through.

  3. In a separate bowl, mix together all dressing ingredients.

  4. Assemble salad by arranging mixed greens, bell pepper, carrot, and cucumber on a plate. Top with cooked beef strips.

  5. Drizzle dressing over the salad and sprinkle with chopped cilantro and peanuts.
