Beef Tips in Gravy Over Garlic Bows Recipe

This beef tips recipe is super easy to make in your crockpot! Serve it over some garlicky bowtie pasta to complement the strong beef gravy flavors.

Ingredients

For Beef Tips:

  • 3 lb beef round steak , cubed into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can baby peas
  • 2 tbsp Kitchen Bouquet
  • 2 pkg brown gravy mix
  • 1 pkg au jus mix
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp dried onion, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 2 cup water

For Garlic Bows:

  • 1 pkg bow tie noodles
  • 2 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 stick butter

Instructions

  1. Dust beef cubes in flour and brown in a large skillet with olive oil. Remove and place in a crockpot.

  2. Brown onion in skillet and add to beef.

  3. Add all remaining ingredients above for the beef, cover and cook on medium-low for 4 hours.

Cooking the garlic pasta

  1. Prepare the pasta according to the package instructions, until slightly undercooked.

  2. Drain the pasta, reserving about 1 cup of the pasta water.

  3. In a pan, melt the butter. Add in the pasta and reserved water, cooking until fragrant and pasta is al dente.

  4. Add the garlic powder and toss well with the pasta.

  5. Serve the beef on top of the garlic pasta with warm crusty bread for dipping.
