How To Make Dynamite Shrimp

Get a taste of Japan with the dynamite shrimp, a recipe made of crispy and crunchy batter-coated shrimp bathed in spicy and creamy Sriracha mayo sauce.

Ingredients

  • cupsflour
  • ¾cupcornstarch
  • tbspbaking powder
  • cupsclub sodacold
  • ½tspkosher salt
  • ¼tspwhite pepper
  • canola oil
  • 1lbshrimpdeveined
  • 1cupmayonnaise
  • 1tbspsugar
  • 1tbspSriracha

Instructions

  1. Heat a pot of oil to 375 degrees F at least 3 inches high.

  2. Mix together the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, salt, and pepper.

  3. Dredge the shrimp in and dust off the excess amount.

  4. Whisk the club soda into the flour mixture then dip the shrimp into it and fry them immediately for about 2 to 3 minutes until golden brown.

  5. Whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, and sriracha and toss with the freshly fried shrimp before serving.
