  • 24 fresh oysters
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Instructions

  1. Shuck the oysters and drain any excess liquid.

  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, black pepper, and paprika.

  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large, deep skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).

  4. Dip each oyster into the flour mixture, then place them carefully into the hot oil.

  5. Fry the oysters for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden brown.

  6. Remove the oysters from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  7. Serve the deep-fried oysters hot with lemon wedges or tartar sauce.
