Spicy Tex-Mex Drumettes Recipe

Marinated in a spicy lime and soy sauce mixture, these chicken drumettes come out full of flavor.


It will be hard to get enough of these chicken drumettes with a spicy rub of hot pepper sauce and other spices. Can you pass us the beer, please?

Ingredients

  • 20 piece chicken drumettes , or 10 chicken wings
  • 8 oz hunts tomato sauce
  • 4 tbsp hot pepper sauce , depending on how hot you want it to be
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin

Instructions

  1. For marinade, in a bowl combine Hunt's tomato sauce, hot pepper sauce, oil, lime juice, soy sauce, garlic powder, and ground cumin.

  2. Place chicken drumettes in a bowl with marinade. If using wings, cut off and discard the tips. Cut wings at joints to make 20 pcs.

  3. Mix occasionally for 2-4 hours. Overnight is good too. Drain chicken reserving marinade.

  4. Place chicken on greased foil-lined baking pan. Bake at 375 degree oven for 30 minutes. Turn chicken over, and pour marinade over top.

  5. Bake for 10- 15 minutes more or until done.
