How To Make Keto Ground Beef and Cauliflower Shepherd’s Pie Recipe

A low-carb twist on the classic comfort dish with a cauliflower mash topping and seasoned ground beef base.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1 head of cauliflower, chopped
  • 1/4 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp of olive oil
  • 1 tsp of dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until onions are translucent.

  3. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Season with thyme, salt, and pepper to taste.

  4. In a separate pot, steam the chopped cauliflower until tender.

  5. Drain cauliflower and blend in a food processor with butter, heavy cream, and parmesan cheese until smooth.

  6. Spread the ground beef mixture evenly in a baking dish. Top with the cauliflower mash.

  7. Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the top is lightly browned and the filling is heated through.

  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
