How To Make Shepherd’s Pie Pasties

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 sheets of puff pastry
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain any excess fat.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and sauté until the onion is soft and translucent.

Stir in the frozen mixed vegetables, beef broth, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, until the vegetables are heated through and the sauce is thickened.

Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface. Cut each sheet into four equal squares.

Spoon the beef and vegetable mixture onto one half of each puff pastry square, leaving a small border around the edges.

Fold the other half of the puff pastry square over the filling and press the edges together to seal. Use a fork to crimp the edges.

Place the pasties onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops with beaten egg.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pasties are golden brown and crispy.

Allow the Shepherd’s Pie Pasties to cool for a few minutes before serving.
