How To Make Sticky Treacle-Glazed Ham

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb (680g) ham
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) treacle
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Place the ham in a roasting pan.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together the treacle, Dijon mustard, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, ground cloves, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.

  4. Brush the treacle mixture all over the ham, making sure to coat it completely.

  5. Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.

  6. Remove the foil and brush the ham with any remaining treacle mixture.

  7. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for another 20 minutes, or until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.

  8. Remove from the oven and let the ham rest for 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
