How To Make Rose Water Granita Recipe

A refreshing, sweet and floral dessert with a crunchy texture.

Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 5 hours (including freezing time)
Total: 5 hours and 10 minutes



  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup of rose water


  1. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

  2. Remove from heat and add rose water. Mix well and let the mixture cool down.

  3. Pour the mixture into a shallow container and freeze for 2 hours.

  4. Use a fork to scrape the mixture and break any ice crystals.

  5. Put it back into the freezer and freeze for another 2-3 hours until it’s fully frozen and the ice crystals have formed.

  6. Scrape one more time before serving into small bowls or glasses.
