Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 small ripe melon (such as cantaloupe or honeydew), peeled and seeded
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- Juice of 1 lemon
Instructions
-
Cut the melon into chunks and place them in a blender or food processor.
-
Add the sugar, water, and lemon juice to the blender.
-
Blend until smooth and well combined.
-
Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer.
-
Every 30 minutes, use a fork to scrape the frozen mixture, breaking up any ice crystals that form.
-
Repeat this process every 30 minutes for about 4 hours, until the mixture is completely frozen and has a slushy consistency.
-
Once frozen, scoop the granita into serving bowls or glasses and serve immediately.
