How To Make Mulled Cranberry & Apple Sauce recipe

Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh cranberries
- 2 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 teaspoon orange zest
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Instructions

In a large saucepan, combine cranberries, apples, apple juice, water, honey, cinnamon stick, cloves, orange zest, and nutmeg.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves from the sauce.

Using a blender or immersion blender, puree the sauce until smooth.

Return the sauce to the saucepan and heat over low heat for another 5 minutes.

Serve the mulled cranberry & apple sauce warm as a side to roasted meats or as a topping for desserts.
