Ingredients

  • 2 red apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 1/2 cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp of powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Lay out the puff pastry on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. Arrange the apple slices in a single layer on top of the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.

  4. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and vanilla extract. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the apple slices.

  5. Drizzle the melted butter over the top of the tart.

  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the apples are tender.

  7. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before dusting with powdered sugar.

  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.
