  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 4 pre-made tart shells

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. In a small bowl, toss the blackberries with sugar and set aside to macerate for 10 minutes.

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.

  4. Place the pre-made tart shells onto a baking sheet.

  5. Spoon the macerated blackberries evenly into each tart shell.

  6. Pour the custard mixture over the blackberries, filling the tart shells almost to the top.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until the custard is set and the tart shells are golden brown.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
