Preparation: 10 minutes
Cooking: 20 minutes
Total: 30 minutes

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 2 sheets of frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 cup of roasted peanuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup of peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons of sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of honey
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Roll out the puff pastry sheets on a lightly floured surface and cut into 4-inch rounds. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  3. In a bowl, mix together the chopped peanuts, peanut butter, soy sauce, sriracha sauce, honey, cumin, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

  4. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the peanut filling onto each puff pastry round, leaving a small border around the edges.

  5. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling to create a half-moon shape and press with a fork to seal.

  6. Brush the tops of the pies with the beaten egg wash.

  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the pies are golden brown and crispy.

  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
