Custard has never been sweeter than in this cherry custard pie recipe. The cherries add pops of color to the pie and bursts of tart, fruity flavor in every bite.
Creamy Cherry Custard Pie Recipe
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup 2% milk
- 1 tbsp canola oil
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1 ½ tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 14.5 oz red tart cherries drained, pitted
- 1 pie shell 9 inches
Using a food processor or blender, blend together all the ingredients (except the cherries and pie crust) for about 30 seconds until smooth.
Let the batter rest for about 20 minutes.
Place the cherries into the pie crust and pour in the custard mixture.
Bake pie for 35-40 minutes until the custard is set in the center.
Let cool on a rack before serving.
