How To Make Turtle Rice Krispie Treats

These rice krispie treats are loaded with crunchy nutty pecans, sweet caramel, and rich chocolate, for a delectable all-around snack!

  • ¼cupbutter
  • 7cupsmini marshmallows,divided
  • 7cupsrice krispies cereal
  • 1⅓cupspecans,divided
  • 1cupsemi sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼cupheavy cream
  • ozcaramel bits,or caramels, unwrapped
  • ¼cupheavy cream,plus 2½ tbsp


  1. Melt the butter and 6 cups of mini marshmallows over medium-low heat until smooth.

  2. Stir in the Rice Krispies, ⅓ cup pecans, and 1 cup of unmelted marshmallows. Press into a well-greased 9×13-inch pan.

  3. Melt the caramel bits and 2½ tablespoons of heavy cream in the microwave for about 60 to 90 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine ¼ cup of heavy cream and chocolate chips. Microwave at 50% power for about 90 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds, until smooth.

  5. Drizzle ½ of the caramel and ½ of the chocolate over the Krispies then top with pecans. Drizzle the remaining caramel and chocolate. Cool completely.

  6. Cut into squares, serve, and enjoy!
