How To Make Mongolian Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breast, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine cornstarch and soy sauce. Add chicken and mix until evenly coated.

  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook until browned, stirring occasionally.

  3. In a small bowl, mix together hoisin sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and water. Pour the sauce over the chicken and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the sauce thickens.

  4. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot with steamed rice.
