How To Make Mexican Salsa Verde Recipe

Ingredients

  • 10 tomatillos, husks removed
  • 1 serrano pepper
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.

  2. Cut tomatillos, onion, and serrano pepper in half and place on a baking sheet with garlic cloves.

  3. Roast in the oven for 10 minutes until lightly charred.

  4. Add roasted vegetables, cilantro, salt, and water to a blender and blend until smooth.

  5. Serve chilled with tortilla chips or as a condiment for tacos.
