  1. In a bowl, combine mochiko, granulated sugar, and matcha green tea powder.

  2. Gradually add water and mix until smooth.

  3. Microwave the mixture for 2 minutes until firm, stirring every 30 seconds.

  4. Knead the mochi on a powdered surface for 5 minutes.

  5. Roll the mochi into 8 balls and flatten each one.

  6. Place 1 tbsp of red bean paste in the center of each mochi and seal the edges.

  7. Dust with potato starch and serve.
