How To Make Steamed Garlic Prawns, Chinese Style

Ingredients
- 500g prawns, deveined and peeled
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 spring onions, chopped
- 1 red chili, sliced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instructions

In a steamer, bring water to a boil.

Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix together the minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, sugar, and black pepper.

Place the prawns in a heatproof dish and pour the garlic sauce over them.

Place the dish in the steamer and steam on high heat for about 8-10 minutes, or until the prawns are cooked through.

While the prawns are steaming, heat vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the chopped spring onions and sliced red chili until fragrant.

Once the prawns are cooked, remove from the steamer and garnish with the sautéed spring onions and chili.

Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
