How To Make Papa John’s Garlic Knots Recipe

These garlic knots are perfect as an appetizer or side. They’re soft, chewy, and packed with garlicky flavor.

Preparation: 10 minutes

Total: 22 minutes



  • 16 oz. of pizza dough
  • 3 tbsp. of butter
  • 3 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. of dried oregano
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.

  2. Cut pizza dough into 8 equal pieces and roll each piece into a rope.

  3. Tie each rope into a knot and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  4. Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.

  5. Brush garlic butter over each knot and sprinkle with dried oregano and salt.

  6. Top with Parmesan cheese.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until golden brown.

  8. Serve warm.
