How To Make Jersey Mike’s Big Kahuna Cheese Steak Recipe
A delicious cheese steak sandwich with grilled steak, sautéed onions, peppers, and melted cheese on a freshly baked roll.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 1 lb. beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 8 slices of provolone cheese
- 4 sub rolls
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tbsp olive oil
Instructions

Heat 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the sliced onion and peppers. Cook until they are tender and lightly caramelized, about 10-12 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add 2 tbsp of olive oil and the thinly sliced beef. Cook until the beef is browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.

Preheat the broiler on high.

Slice the rolls in half and place them under the broiler until lightly toasted.

On the bottom half of each roll, add a few slices of beef, followed by a generous helping of the sautéed onions and peppers. Top with 2 slices of provolone cheese.

Place the sandwiches back under the broiler until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 2-3 minutes.

Put the top half of the roll on the sandwich and serve hot.
