How To Make Hot Dog on a Stick’s Onion Rings Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 large onions
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • vegetable oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Cut onions into 1/2 inch rings and separate them.

  2. In a shallow bowl, mix together flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.

  3. In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg.

  4. Heat oil in a large pot or deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).

  5. Dip onion rings in the milk mixture and then coat in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.

  6. Fry onion rings in batches for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, turning occasionally.

  7. Drain on paper towels before serving.
