How To Make Hot Dog on a Stick’s Cheese on a Stick Recipe
This is a cheesy, crispy-on-the-outside, gooey-on-the-inside, handheld snack that’s perfect for sharing.

Ingredients
- 4 sticks of string cheese
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of salt
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1 egg
- 1 quart of vegetable oil
- 4 wooden skewers
Instructions

Cut cheese sticks in half.

Insert skewers into each half of cheese stick and set aside.

In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.

In another bowl, whisk together milk and egg.

Pour the milk mixture into the flour mixture and stir until smooth.

Heat up oil in a deep pot over medium heat until it reaches 375 degrees F.

Dip each cheese stick into the batter, making sure it’s coated evenly.

Fry each cheese stick until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

Transfer the cheese on a stick to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
