How To Make Fisherman’s Fish and Chips Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 lb of cod fillets
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of black pepper
- 1 cup of beer
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and sliced into wedges
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper.

Slowly whisk in the beer until the batter is smooth.

Preheat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large Dutch oven to 375°F.

Dip cod pieces into the batter and then into the hot oil, frying for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy.

Fry the potato wedges until crispy and golden brown, about 5-8 minutes.

Serve hot with a sprinkle of salt and malt vinegar on top, if desired.
