How To Make Kidney Bean Soup Recipe

A hearty and healthy soup made with kidney beans, vegetables, and spices.

  • 1 can of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 4 cups vegetable broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. In a large pot, heat oil over medium heat.

  2. Add onion and garlic and sauté until fragrant.

  3. Add carrots and celery and cook for 5 minutes.

  4. Add cumin and chili powder and cook for another minute.

  5. Add kidney beans and vegetable broth.

  6. Bring soup to a boil, reduce heat and let simmer for 30-35 minutes.

  7. Season with salt and pepper.
