Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp fennel seeds
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, fennel seeds, and poppy seeds.

  3. Drizzle olive oil over the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.

  4. Gradually add water, a little at a time, until a dough forms.

  5. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes until smooth.

  6. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each portion into a long rope, about 1/2 inch thick.

  7. Shape the ropes into a wreath shape on the prepared baking sheet, pressing the ends together to seal.

  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy.

  9. Allow the wreath to cool completely before serving.
