
How To Make Sweet and Tangy Homemade Ketchup

- 24oztomato paste
- ½cuplight brown sugar,packed
- ½cupdark molasses
- 1½tspgarlic powder
- 1½tsponion powder
- ½tspmustard powder
- ½tspground cinnamon
- ½tspground allspice
- 3tbspWorcestershire sauce
- ½cupapple cider vinegar
- 1tbspkosher salt
- 1cupwater,filtered
Instructions

In a large, shallow saucepan, combine the tomato paste, brown sugar, molasses, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, cinnamon, allspice, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, salt, and water.

Bring to a low boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.

Cook for 25 to 30 minutes, until reduced by about a quarter.

The ketchup should be thick and spreadable. Let cool completely.

Transfer to a clean, airtight container, then store in the refrigerator.
