  • 24oztomato paste
  • ½cuplight brown sugar,packed
  • ½cupdark molasses
  • 1½tspgarlic powder
  • 1½tsponion powder
  • ½tspmustard powder
  • ½tspground cinnamon
  • ½tspground allspice
  • 3tbspWorcestershire sauce
  • ½cupapple cider vinegar
  • 1tbspkosher salt
  • 1cupwater,filtered

Instructions

  1. In a large, shallow saucepan, combine the tomato paste, brown sugar, molasses, garlic powder, onion powder, mustard powder, cinnamon, allspice, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, salt, and water.

  2. Bring to a low boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.

  3. Cook for 25 to 30 minutes, until reduced by about a quarter.

  4. The ketchup should be thick and spreadable. Let cool completely.

  5. Transfer to a clean, airtight container, then store in the refrigerator.

  6. Serve over sandwiches, fries, and other savory meals, and enjoy!
