How To Make Chinese Style Stuffed Mushrooms

These savory stuffed mushrooms are loaded with filling pork, turnips, and more for a more flavorful treat! Whip this up in just under an hour.

Ingredients

  • 15large mushrooms,fresh, stems removed
  • ½lbground pork
  • ¼Chinese salted turnip,chung choi, slice, rinsed and chopped
  • 1tbspsoy sauce
  • 3tbspwater chestnuts,canned, finely chopped
  • ¼tspsalt
  • ¼tspwhite sugar

Instructions

  1. Remove the stems from the mushrooms, then discard them or save for another use.

  2. Wipe the mushroom caps clean with a dry towel.

  3. In a bowl, combine the pork, turnip, soy sauce, water chestnuts, salt, and sugar until thoroughly mixed.

  4. Spoon the stuffing tightly into the mushroom caps.

  5. Arrange the mushrooms in a steamer basket, stuffing side up, over boiling water.

  6. Cover, and cook for 30 minutes.

  7. Serve hot, and enjoy!
