Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked lentils
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, cheese, etc.)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked lentils, chopped onion, bread crumbs, egg, garlic powder, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.

  2. Use a fork or potato masher to mash the lentil mixture until it starts to come together.

  3. Use your hands to shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.

  4. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and grease with cooking spray or oil.

  5. Cook the lentil patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. Serve the lentil burgers on buns with your favorite toppings.
