How To Make Slow Cooker Turkey Casserole

We have turkey sandwiched between lovely bread, baked as pie filling, and cooked in a casserole. Whatever way it’s served, turkey meat is a versatile dish you just can’t get enough of.

Serves:

Ingredients

  • 1 lb turkey breast, diced into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup celery, sliced
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups cooked rice

Instructions

  1. In a slow cooker, combine turkey, onion, garlic, carrots, celery, frozen peas, cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, dried thyme, dried sage, salt, and pepper.

  2. Stir well to combine all ingredients.

  3. Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours or until the turkey is cooked through and tender.

  4. Cook rice according to package instructions.

  5. Serve the turkey casserole over cooked rice.
