How To Make Slow Cooker Turkey Recipe

We have turkey sandwiched between lovely bread, baked as pie filling, and cooked in a casserole. Whatever way it’s served, turkey meat is a versatile dish you just can’t get enough of.

Ingredients
- 1 (12-pound) turkey
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of dried sage
- 1 tablespoon of dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon of dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup of chicken broth
Instructions

Remove giblets and neck from the turkey cavity and rinse the turkey under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels.

Place the sliced onion, chopped celery, chopped carrots, and minced garlic in the bottom of a slow cooker.

In a small bowl, mix together the dried sage, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper. Rub this mixture all over the turkey.

Place the seasoned turkey on top of the vegetables in the slow cooker. Pour the chicken broth over the turkey.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 8 hours, or until the turkey is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

Once the turkey is cooked, carefully remove it from the slow cooker and transfer it to a serving platter. Let it rest for 15 minutes before carving.

Serve the slow cooker turkey with the vegetables from the slow cooker as a side.
