How To Make Slow Cooker Turkey Breasts with Wine & Bacon
Tender turkey breasts cooked in a slow cooker with a rich wine and bacon sauce.
Serves:
Ingredients
- 2 turkey breasts, bone-in and skin-on
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 cup of dry white wine
- 1 cup of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions

Season the turkey breasts with salt and pepper.

In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

In the same skillet, cook the onion and garlic until softened.

Stir in the wine, chicken broth, Dijon mustard, and fresh thyme leaves. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Place the turkey breasts in the slow cooker and pour the wine and bacon mixture over the top.

Cook on low heat for 6 hours, or until the turkey is cooked through and tender.

Remove the turkey from the slow cooker and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with the sauce from the slow cooker.
