How To Make Rabbit in White Wine Sauce
A simple and easy-to-follow recipe for stewed rabbit in white wine sauce! Cooked until tender, this rabit dish is sure to be one to savor along with its rich chicken and vegetable broth base then ultimately finished off with white wine reduction on the same cooking dish. Ingredients
- 1 rabbit, cut in pieces
- 3 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, sliced
- 1 carrot, sliced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- ¼ tsp thyme
- ¼ tsp marjoram
- 1 cup chicken bouillon
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- ½ cup dry white wine
- ¼ cup sour cream
- salt and pepper
Instructions

In a 2-quart casserole, microwave butter for 1 minute on High to melt.
- Stir in onion, carrot and celery to coat.

Microwave on High for 2 minutes.
- In separate bowl, thoroughly mix salt, pepper, thyme, marjoram, bouillon, vinegar and wine.
- Place rabbit pieces on top of vegetable mixture.
- Pour wine seasoning mixture over both.

Cover and microwave on High for 5 minutes.

Microwave on Bake or 60 percent power for 7 minutes. Stir.

Microwave on Bake 5 minutes more.
- Stir in sour cream.

Microwave on Bake for 5 minutes to complete.
- Serve over buttered noodles.
